Holding your breath in the driveway

Holding your breath in the driveway

The cost of performing leadership.

You are receiving this because we have previously connected around my work with Executive Assistants.

I am writing to let you know that I am no longer offering Executive Assistant coaching. My practice has fully consolidated into high-proximity, 1:1 somatic and strategic partnerships for founders, CEOs, and senior executives. If I end up working with you and your Executive Assistant that will make sense!

When we look at the health of an organisation, we cannot separate the business from the physical capacity of the person running it.

That is why my focus has shifted entirely to the leader at the top.

If you are currently navigating the pressure of holding that space alone, the message below is for you.

I was talking to a founder recently who had just closed a record-breaking quarter.

On paper, she was winning. In reality, she was sitting in her car outside her office, holding her breath, completely exhausted by the performance of her own leadership.

She told me she felt like a fraud every time someone congratulated her. She was working sixty hours a week, managing her team’s anxiety, and keeping her own throat tight so she would not say what she actually thought. She was waiting for a future milestone before she allowed herself to rest, to speak cleanly, or to feel safe in her own business.

The armour you built to protect yourself on the way up eventually becomes the very thing that caps your expansion.

When you are constantly managing your safety, defending your boundaries, or waiting for a future version of yourself to arrive, you are performing leadership instead of embodying it. Your team, your clients, and your partners can feel the difference between a borrowed strategy and your actual presence.

True authority is not about reaching perfection. It is the ability to think clearly, keep your heart open, and accept yourself exactly where you are today.

I built my private 1:1 partnership because I kept watching brilliant leaders build highly successful prisons and call it achievement.

This is a bespoke, high-proximity container designed specifically for founders, CEOs, and senior executives who are ready to let the armour stand down. Over three months, we work through both the somatic and the strategic, auditing your energy, clearing the subconscious rules keeping you invisible, and building a clean-energy communication style that allows you to lead without depletion.

We have space for two new partnerships to begin this month.

If you are ready to expand your physical capacity to hold your legacy, reply to this email with the word “LEAD” and we will set up a private conversation to talk through the details.

You do not have to wait for the next milestone to stop holding your breath in the driveway. The ease of leading from your true capacity starts the moment you decide to stop performing.
